Jon Bernthal will soon be seen reprising his Marvel Netflix series role of Frank Castle/The Punisher in the upcoming Disney+ sequel series “Daredevil: Born Again”.
Whilst no official photos are out from the show just yet, set photos from the New York filming on the series have emerged online and show off the character’s return.
The blurry shots show someone (Bernthal or a double) dressed in The Punisher’s iconic white skull symbol. Another shows his interaction with a character previously caught on camera – believed to be the Marvel character White Tiger.
Bernthal first appeared in the role in the second season of “Daredevil”. He then received his own “The Punisher” spinoff series which ran for two seasons.
He joins the cast of a series that now seems like a direct sequel to the prior “Daredevil” run with Charlie Cox back as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page.
“Daredevil: Born Again” is expected to continue filming around New York for several months ahead of a 2025 release.
