Lanterns
“Ozark” showrunner Chris Mundy has been rumored as the potential new showrunner for the “Green Lantern” TV series “Lanterns” which is a part of Gunn & Safran’s new DCU. The same reports indicate the Hal Jordan character will be slightly older than John Stewart in the series with the latter to be in his twenties. None of this has been confirmed. [Source: CBM]

Sesame Street
Long-running children’s series “Sesame Street” will undergo a major creative retooling in its 56th season to debut in 2025. It marks the most significant change for the show since 2016 when the show went from an hour to a half-hour series.

The program will drop the ‘magazine’-style format it has long used and change to two eleven-minute, more narrative-driven story segments. A new animated series, “Tales From 123,” will be sandwiched in between them. [Source: THR]

Fourth Wing
Amazon’s MGM Studios has scored the rights to Rebecca Yarros’ fantasy book series “The Empyrean” and is moving to develop its first title “Fourth Wing” for TV. Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society would produce.

“Fourth Wing” is set in the brutal world of Basgiath War College, where there is only one rule: Graduate or Die. A young woman finds herself up against hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. [Source: Deadline]

Doctor Who
The three David Tennant and Catherine Tate-led “Doctor Who” 60th Anniversary specials will be made available on Blu-ray and DVD on December 11th in the UK – almost immediately after the airing of the third and final of the specials on December 9th. The disc release includes behind-the-scenes footage and special features. [Source: Collider]

Shoresy
“Letterkenny” spin-off series “Shoresy” has been renewed for a third season at Crave/Hulu. Bell Media, which develops the spin-off, says production is expected to take place in Sudbury, Ontario in November.

The series will continue to follow the foul-mouthed, chirp-serving, mother-loving, fan-favorite character, Shoresy (Jared Keeso), and the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs of the Northern Ontario Senior Hockey Organization (The NOSHO). [Source: Coming Soon]
