By Pedro Pascal has reportedly dropped out of “Barbarian” director Zach Cregger’s “Weapons” over a scheduling conflict, according to a new post at The InSneider.
The outlet indicates that filming on Marvel Studios’ “Fantastic Four” movie has been pushed back to the third quarter of 2024 from an originally planned April start of shooting.
Pascal, who is set to play Mr. Fantastic in the film, will thus likely find a good chunk of the back half of this year occupied shooting that project.
Pascal is coming off shooting Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator” sequel and was spotted with his arm in a sling at Sunday night’s Golden Globe Awards.
Despite the injury, filming will proceed as scheduled on the second season of HBO’s “The Last of Us” in Vancouver next month and he is expected to show up to reprise his role of Joel in the new season.
His filming commitments to the just-announced “The Mandalorian & Grogu” film aren’t entirely clear. Though mostly just a voice role, Pascal may have to do some shooting on that project which aims to begin production later this year.
He’s also been rumored for “Hereditary” director Ari Aster’s new film “Eddington”. The actor will next be seen in Ethan Coen’s “Drive-Away Dolls”.
