The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert 2
Guy Pearce recently gave a very brief update on the production timeline for the sequel to 1994’s “The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert”. He tells Good Morning America: “Well, the sequel, which is going to be – what are we now, ’26?. We’ll probably shoot it ’27, it’ll come out ’28.”
Stephan Elliott returns to direct the film, which shot footage with the late Terence Stamp prior to his passing last August. Pearce and Hugo Weaving also starred in the original. [Source: GMA]
The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth
A new report indicates that David Fincher’s “The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth” will not be expanding beyond IMAX screens – no PLF or regular cinemas – when it arrives around Thanksgiving.
That means the Quentin Tarantino-penned film will only play at around 350 U.S. locations as most, despire the presence of Pitt and Fincher re-teaming again. [Source: EmpireCity Box-Office]
Wet
“Mission: Impossible” and “Dune” star Rebecca Ferguson, “Heated Rivalry” breakout Connor Storrie, and “Marty Supreme” scene stealer Odessa A’zion have joined filmmaker Alma Har’el’s next feature “Wet”.
Har’el (“Honey Boy”) and Christian Stangeby penned the “Succession”-esque film, but plot specifics are under wraps. Javier Bardem leads the cast of the family drama which has been set up at Patrick Wachsberger’s 193. Filming beigns in Speain early next year. [Source: Deadline]
Grand Theft Auto VI
Rockstar Games head of development Rob Nelson has reportedly indicated that “Grand Theft Auto VI” is set to run at 30 frames-per-second on consoles, even PS5 Pro. He adds that it will be necessary to consult the technical team to determine if there will be a 60 fps option at launch (or in the future).
It’s widely believed that a lot of the issue comes down to the CPU, not the GPU, which is why the Pro won’t see a frame rate jump even as it will be able to offer a likely much better image. [Source: Davy Jones]
