Peacock has released the first trailer for Jennifer Garner’s new limited series “The Five Star Weekend,” which debuts on July 9th.
Garner plays Hollis Shaw, a famed food influencer suffering from a devastating personal loss when the cops reveal that her husband has died. The loss also strains her relationship with her daughter.
As a result, she opts to host a weekend away at her Nantucket home with friends from different stages in her life – one from her childhood, one from her twenties, and one from her thirties.
There’s also a mysterious fifth guest, and the newest to the group. The series will also deal with the other women and how they deal with their own insecurities and losses.
Regina Hall, D’Arcy Carden, Gemma Chan, Chloë Sevigny, Harlow Jane, and Timothy Olyphant, with Judy Greer, David Denman, Josh Hamilton, Rob Huebel, West Duchovny, Tory Devon Smith, Morrison Keddie, and Roberta Colindrez co-star.
The story is based on Elin Hilderbrand’s eponymous novel which topped multiple bestseller lists. The show was created, written, and executive-produced by Bekah Brunstetter (“This is Us”), who penned the series alongside Beth Schacter.
