Pamela Anderson has some new-found clout in Hollywood. Her turn in The Last Showgirl got good notices, her TV reality shows have found a solid audience, and her role in The Naked Gun reboot showed some comic chops.
So she’s going to push her leverage, alongside her sons Brandon and Dylan, in the form of a new production company – And-Her-Sons Productions.
The first project in their sites? A new TV series adaptation of the Dark Horse Comics’ 1990s comic book Barb Wire.
The comics followed Barbara Kopetski AKA Barb Wire, a bounty hunter who plies her trade around Steel Harbor, armed with a motorcycle, and endless arsenal of weapons, and bad attitude.
At the height of her Baywatch fame, Anderson played the character in an 1996 movie adaptation from Universal Pictures that was widely panned.
The report in Deadline says it will have a very different feel to that movie and it is not expected than Anderson will reprise the role, but rather take on producing instead.
