Sometimes, we get trailers through, and I just don’t fancy it from the write-up, but then the trailer looks like it could be OK. Take Forgive Us All, for example, it didn’t sound interesting, but the trailer looks good.
Forgive Us All is described as a ‘neo-western, apocalyptic horror’, which again sounds interesting. The movie stars Lily Sullivan, Callan Mulvey, Richard Roxburgh, Lance Giles, Bree Peters, Lawrence Makoare, Dean O’Gorman, and Bonnie Filer.
Jordana Stott is the director and co-wrote with Lance Giles and Alex Makauska. There isn’t much about the story, but the rest is from the press release.
Directed and co-written by Jordana Stott, the film stars Lily Sullivan (Evil Dead Rise), Callan Mulvey (The Gray Man) and Richard Roxburgh (Van Helsing).
The film was shot entirely in Queenstown, New Zealand, with a production budget of $10m.
In a post-apocalyptic world, where a biotech virus has transformed humans into violent cannibals, a survivor hides in an isolated cabin. But when a stranger arrives with a story of hope, she must choose whether to stay or escape through a zombie-infested forest.
Forgive Us All will have its UK premiere at genre-festival Grimmfest in Manchester on 11th October.
That was it, short and sweet this time. I have asked for a screener, and I will report back. I’d love an interview with Richard Roxburgh, so here’s hoping.
