The price of fame is a horrible thing. You get adoring fans, and fans that just take it too far. In Borderline, one fan is more than a fan; he’s marriage material.
There’s always that one person who has to go too far. The trailer for Borderline does make it look comedically dark, and there is a review on the way.
Borderline stars Samara Weaving, Ray Nicholson, Eric Dane, Jimmie Fails, Alba Baptista, Patrick Cox, and Terence Kelly. Jimmy Warden, known for writing Cocaine Bear, is directing. The story is:
A bodyguard protects a pop superstar and her athlete boyfriend from a determined stalker in 1990s Los Angeles.
I think the movie has been out in the US for a while, and the press release is for the UK and digital. From Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerley’s Luckychap Entertainment, who previously produced Barbie and Saltburn, comes Jimmy Warden’s edge-of-your-seat thriller.
Yes, he has a very famous dad
Borderline follows a dangerously persistent stalker (Nicholson) who invades the home of a ‘90s pop superstar (Weaving) with grand delusions of a wedding. With her life on the line and help from her loyal bodyguard, she must escape the stalker’s sinister grip before they tie the knot.
Borderline will be on digital on the 8th of September, and as I said, a review will be here before that.
