Novelty, collectible popcorn buckets are generally a bit cringe and mark you out in the theater as being potentially lacking in personality, and probably in personal hygiene. If you really want to confirm to total strangers around you that you have never seen a member of the opposite sex naked in real life, then you could get your hands on this one, from the upcoming Fantastic Four movie.
Seriously, if somebody sat next to me in the theater with that, I would move myself between them and my kids.
At least Paramount Pictures managed to raise a sensible chuckle with their effort for the upcoming Naked Gun reboot, though. They have now released the first image of their promotional entry into this tragic genre ahead of the release of the movie. It plays homage to a joke from the original trilogy.
You, too, can eat your popcorn out of the back of a beaver and enjoy the film that Paramount has declared “the single most important Naked Gun movie since the other Naked Gun movies.”
Liam Neeson stars as Detective Frank Drebin Jr, alongside Paul Walter Hauser as his partner Ed, Pamela Anderson as femme fatale Beth, Kevin Durand as the villain, with Danny Huston, CCH Pounder, Cody Rhodes, Liza Koshy, and Eddie Yu in supporting roles.
It is written by Chip n Dale: Rescue Rangers writers Dan Gregor and Doug Mand, directed by Akiva Schaffer, and produced by Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins.
The Naked Gun opens on August 1st, as does the beaver’s bucket.
