By Amazon MGM Studios has released the first trailer and a second poster for “Project Hail Mary,” a film adaptation of the novel of the same name by “The Martian” author Andy Weir.
Drew Goddard returns as screenwriter for this project which is being produced and directed by “The Lego Movie” directors and animated “Spider-Verse” franchise producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller.
In “Project Hail Mary,” Ryan Gosling stars as astronaut Ryland Grace who awakens on a spacecraft with no memory of himself or his mission.
He slowly deduces he is the sole survivor of a crew sent to the Tau Ceti solar system in search of a solution to a catastrophic event on Earth.
In his search for answers, Grace must rely on his vast array of scientific knowledge, sheer ingenuity, and human will – but he may not have to search alone.
Sandra Hüller and Milana Vayntrub co-star in the film. “Project Hail Mary” is set to open in cinemas on March 20th 2026.
