By A couple of key film trailer premieres today. First up, Peacock has premiered the trailer for Sam Boyd’s holiday fairytale comedy “Genie” which debuts on the service on November 22nd. Richard Curtis penned the script.
Paapa Essiedu plays a man whose life is unravelling when he dusts off a jewellery box and unintentionally releases genie Flora (Melissa McCarthy) who just might be able to help him. Denée Benton, Marc Maron, Jordyn McIntosh, Luis Guzmán, and Alan Cumming also star.
Next up, Netflix has premiered the trailer for the body swap comedy “Family Switch” starring Jennifer Garner and Ed Helms. The film follows a dysfunctional family that is forced to come together after they switch bodies following a chance encounter with an astrological reader.
Kids become adults. Adults become kids. Babies become dogs and all this is happening on the morning of the most important day of each of their lives. The film arrives on November 30th.
Finally, HBO has released the first trailer for “David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived” – a documentary about a stuntman who was seriously injured during the production of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1”.
Stars like Daniel Radcliffe and others talk about what occurred on set that day before the film dives into Holmes’ life after the accident. The film premieres on Max on November 15th.
