Get ready to see Rachel Zegler’s face everywhere shortly.

Lionsgate’s prequel film “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” has received an interim agreement from SAG-AFTRA.

As a result, the film’s stars like Rachel Zegler, Tom Blyth, Viola Davis and Peter Dinklage are allowed to promote the film before it premieres in cinemas on November 17th.

Just why the studio film was able to land the agreement so late isn’t clear, but it should provide a boost in publicity to get people to the movies to see the film at Thanksgiving.

The move guarantees talk show appearances, social media posts and lavish premieres for the movie. Lionsgate is not part of the AMPTP so its films are eligible.

The prequel takes place decades before the pre-existing films, a time when Donald Sutherland’s Coriolanus Snow is now an 18-year-old (Blyth) and the last hope of a fading lineage who sees his chance to rise to power in the form of a young woman from impoverished District 12.

The Francis Lawrence-directed adaptation is reportedly targeting a $50 million domestic opening weekend according to early projections. The publicity boost should help raise those projections.
