Following its successful run on the Fall film festival circuit, Netflix has premiered the teaser trailer for “Se7en,” “The Game,” and “Panic Room” director David Fincher’s newest film “The Killer”.
The film is based on a graphic novel by Alexis Nolent and Luc Jacamon and follows a professional assassin (Michael Fassbender) lost in a world without a moral compass. He’s alone, armed to the teeth, and slowly losing his mind as he awaits his next target.
After a fateful near-miss, he soon battles his employers and finds himself on an international manhunt he insists isn’t personal. The project sees Fassbender returning to the screen after a four-year absence.
Fincher has been developing the project for around sixteen years, with filming finally beginning back in November 2021. Tilda Swinton, Arliss Howard, Charles Parnell, and Sophie Charlotte also star.
Andrew Kevin Walker, who previously worked with Fincher, penned the script. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross will handle the score.
“The Killer” released today in select theaters ahead of its Netflix streaming premiere on November 10th.
