By Following its screening at Brazil’s CCXP convention, Lionsgate has premiered a new featurette the female-driven “John Wick” spin-off feature “Ballerina”.
Ana de Armas stars as a young female assassin trained in the traditions of the Ruska Roma who seeks revenge against the people who killed her family.
Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, the late Lance Reddick, David Castaneda, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Norman Reedus, Ian McShane, and Keanu Reeves co-star.
Shot almost two years ago, it was originally slated for this past June and will now open next June. The delay was to accommodate the filming of additional action sequences and reshoots.
Franchise steerer Chad Stahelski helped guide those sequences alongside the film’s director, Len Wiseman.
“From the World of John Wick: Ballerina” will open in cinemas on June 6th 2025.
