Paramount has premiered a second official trailer for the Michael Fassbender-led ten-episode spy thriller “The Agency”.
The “12 Years a Slave” and “Shame” star plays a covert CIA agent ordered to abandon his undercover life and return to London Station.
When the love he left behind reappears, romance reignites. His career, his real identity and his mission are pitted against his heart – hurling them both into a deadly game of international intrigue and espionage.
Richard Gere, Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith, Katherine Waterston, John Magaro, Hugh Bonneville, Dominic West and Harriet Sansom Harris co-star in the series which is produced by George Clooney and Grant Heslov.
The project is a re-imagining of the French TV series “The Bureau” which ran for five seasons and follows the daily lives of France’s external security service – the DGSE.
Joe Wright directed the first two episodes with Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth writing all ten episodes.
The project is being raced to screens as filming only began in June in London, Europe, and Africa and scenes were still being shot as of late last month.
“The Agency” is set to premiere on November 29th and is available on both Showtime as well as on Paramount+ with Showtime.
