Macaulay Culkin has joined the cast of the second season of Amazon’s TV series adaptation of the “Fallout” video games for Kilter Films.
Culkin will take on a recurring role in the series as a “crazy genius-type character,” with further specifics on the part under wraps.
The cast of the series is led by Ella Purnell as vault-dweller Lucy, Aaron Moten as Maximus, and Walton Goggins as The Ghoul. The project hails from “Westworld” creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy while Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner.
The first season of “Fallout” saw 65 million viewers tuning in over its first 16 days of release, with one impact being the “Fallout” games saw an increase in daily players of four-to-six fold.
The show also received sixteen Emmy nominations, winning two in tech categories and a nomination for the top drama series award.
Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, Sarita Choudhury, Michael Emerson, Leslie Uggams, Frances Turner, Dave Register, Zach Cherry, Johnny Pemberton, Rodrigo Luzzi, Annabel O’Hagan and Xelia Mendes-Jones co-star.
Athena Wickham, James Altman, Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner executive produce.
Culkin most recently had roles on FX’s “American Horror Story: Double Feature” and HBO’s “The Righteous Gemstones.”
