It may be on digital already, but Marvel Studios’ “Deadpool & Wolverine” is still continuing to smash records at the box-office.
Marvel Studios and Disney’s R-rated film has now surpassed “Barbie” to rank No. 12 on the list of all-time top-grossing films (not adjusted for inflation) at the domestic box office.
The film took in another $679,000 this weekend – pushing its domestic total to $636.3 million – just above the final $636.2 million haul of Greta Gerwig’s meta-comedy.
Globally however, “Barbie” remains queen with its $1.446 billion worldwide haul putting it in 15th place of all time globally – easily ahead of the mouthy Merc’s haul of $1.336 billion as of the end of this weekend.
Worldwide it sits in 20th place of all time, having just knocked Rian Johnson’s “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” out of the Top 20.
The film still holds many box office records since it opened, most notably the biggest opening weekend for an R-rated movie at $211 million, the second biggest film of 2024 to date, and the MCU’s seventh-highest-grossing film globally.
