Unstable
Netflix has reportedly cancelled its comedy series “Unstable” after two seasons. The second season debuted early August and failed to make the Netflix Top 10 – drawing fewer than 1.3 million views in its first full week.

Rob Lowe and his son John Owen Lowe star in the series which the older Lowe co-created and produced. It follows an introverted son who goes to work for his successful, wildly eccentric father. Producers have already been quietly shopping the show around. [Source: Deadline]

Lanterns
Kelly MacDonald is reportedly being considered for one of the female lead roles in the “Lanterns” series from DC Studios and HBO. Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan and Aaron Pierre as John Stewart star.

The series has a “True Detective”-style murder mystery tone and deals with a murder in heartland America. MacDonald’s role is possibly a love interest for Chandler’s character – a local sheriff named Kerrie Kane. [Source: CBM]

Pride and Prejudice
A new and supposedly faithful TV adaptation of Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice” is in the works at Netflix and Lookout Point, with “Everything I Know About Love” creator Dolly Alderton penning the scripts.

The project has yet to be greenlit as casting is still being sorted out, though Daisy Edgar-Jones is rumored to be up for the lead role of Elizabeth Bennett. [Source: The Daily Mail]

Nautilus
An October 25th premiere, on Prime Video in the UK and Stan in Australia, has been set for the ten-episode live-action series “Nautilus” inspired by Jules Verne’s “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea”.

The story serves as an origin story of Nemo (Shazad Latif) who, in this take, is an Indian Prince robbed of his birthright and family and a prisoner of the East India Company. He escapes with a ragtag crew onboard the Nautilus. The series comes to AMC and AMC+ in the U.S. next year.
