Hush
Mike Flanagan’s 2016 horror-thriller “Hush,” which premiered on Netflix eight years ago, is finally receiving a U.S. theatrical release on October 16th.

Katie Siegel stars as a deaf writer who retreats to the woods to work in solitude, only to be terrorized by a masked killer.

A restored version of the original cut, as well as a new black-and-white “Shush Cut” with remixed audio, are coming in a 4K UHD cut later this year. [Source: World of Reel]

The Housemaid
Sydney Sweeney (“Anyone But You”) and Amanda Seyfried (“Mamma Mia”) are teaming up for filmmaker Paul Feig’s new psychological thriller “The Housemaid” at Lionsgate. Feig will direct from a script by Rebecca Sonnenshine, based on author Freida McFadden’s best-selling 2022 novel.

Sweeney’s deal is closed and Seyfried s in final negotiations for the project in which Millie (Sweeney) lands a job as a housemaid to wealthy couple, Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew, before learning that the pair hide dangerous secrets. [Source: THR]

I Know What You Did Last Summer Revival
Billy Campbell is joining the quickly expanding cast of the “I Know What You Did Last Summer” sequel at Sony Pictures. Jennifer Kaytin Robinson is directing the follow up co-written with Sam Lansky. It is scheduled to open July 18th 2025.

Freddie Prinze Jr., Chase Sui Wonders, Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers and Jonah Haur-King are set and Jennifer Love Hewitt is also in talks to return. [Source: Deadline]

Venom: The Last Dance
Sony Pictures is continuing its “Venom: The Last Dance” push with a new video showing the character appearing on The Hot Ones podcast. As he eats an increasingly fiery series of hot wings and the results aren’t unexpected. The film itself opens October 25th.
