By “Hamilton” and “Snowpiercer” series alum Daveed Diggs has been cast in the fifth and final season of “The Boys” at Amazon Prime Video.
Character details are being kept under wraps, but Diggs will appear in a series regular role.
He joins returning cast members Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit and Cameron Crovetti.
It marks Diggs’ second Amazon R-rated superhero series following his role as therapy group member Theo in the animated series “Invincible”.
Diggs has also made a name for himself in the voice over arena with roles in “Star Trek: Prodigy,” “Solar Opposites,” “Krapopolis,” and “Central Park” along with the live-action “The Little Mermaid”.
Filming on the final season of “The Boys” is slated to begin in November and likely won’t air until early 2026. A second season of “Gen V” is expected to air in 2025.
