Two of the best genre projects of recent years are coming back to U.S. cinemas this month to celebrate for different reasons.

First up, Warner Bros. Pictures has announced that “Dune: Part One” is receiving a special one night only reissue on Wednesday, January 24th at 7pm. The film will be screened in select IMAX locations across North America.

The event will also feature an exclusive sneak peek at “Dune: Part Two”. This reissue is also taking place in other countries with those screenings being held from February 7th-9th depending upon your location. A list of countries and dates so far are up at Dune News Net.

Meanwhile Toho International has announced something of a thank you to fans who helped propel “Godzilla Minus One” to over $50 million at the domestic box office – the highest grossing Japanese film ever released in the United States.

That ‘thank you’ is a special one week only release of “Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color” – the newly remastered Black and White version of the film which hit Japan last week. That version will be coming to cinemas beginning Friday, January 26th and ending Thursday February 1st.

“Godzilla Minus One” is currently the fifth highest grossing non-English language film in U.S. box office history and the re-release may push it even higher.
