Dolph Lundgren and Ian McElhinney will be a part of the voice cast of an animated feature based on the video game title “Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden”.
Filmmaker Hasraf ‘HaZ’ Dulull (“The Beyond”) is set to produce and direct. Dulull was first linked to the project four years ago.
The story unfolds in a post-apocalyptic world where an unlikely team of animal-mutants – led by a witty duck and a gruff boar – set out on a dangerous mission.
Their goal? To reclaim the Ark, an essential generator stolen from their sanctuary. Together, the scavengers uncover a deeper truth behind the Ark’s divisions.
They soon confront the oppressive regime of the Elder and discover secrets that could reshape their dystopian existence. .
The turn-based tactical RPG title was released in late 2018 to generally positive reviews but wasn’t a major hit.
Dulull started out as a visual effects supervisor on movies like “The Dark Knight” and “Hellboy 2: The Golden Army”. The animation will be done using Unreal Engine 5.
