20th Century Studios has released one last trailer for Fede Alvarez’s “Alien: Romulus,” the preview coming about four weeks ahead of the film’s opening on August 16th.
While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.
The story unfolds in between the events of “Alien” and “Aliens” and is said to be tonally a mix of both films.
The cast for this includes Cailee Spaeny (“Priscilla”), David Jonsson (“Agatha Christie’s Murder is Easy”), Archie Renaux (“Shadow and Bone”), Isabela Merced (“The Last of Us”), Spike Fearn (“Aftersun”), and Aileen Wu.
“Don’t Breathe” and “Evil Dead” remake director Alvarez helms from a screenplay he wrote with frequent collaborator Rodo Sayagues based on characters created by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett.
“Alien: Romulus” is produced by original “Alien” director Ridley Scott and producer Walter Hill along with Michael Pruss.
