Coming off acclaim for his work in “Late Night with the Devil,” actor David Dastmalchian will lead four new additions to the cast of the second season of Netflix’s live-action “One Piece” series which is heading into production.

All four actors will play members of Baroque Works, a lethal criminal syndicate attempting to conquer the Arabasta Kingdom.

Dastmalchian will take on the role of Mr. 3 and will be joined by former “Batwoman” regular Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, “Raised by Wolves” actor Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9, and “Warrior” actress Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine.

Rebaone Ben Kgosimore played Mr. 7 in the opening episode of the first season where he tried to recruit Roanoa Zoro (Mackenyu) into the sinister group – only for Zoro to bisect him.

All the new additions are pulled from Eiichiro Oda’s original pirate adventure manga. They join returning Straw Hat crew members like Inaki Godoy as aspiring pirate king Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as swordsman Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as crafty thief Nami, Jacob Romero as earnest sailor Usopp and Taz Skylar as high-kicking chef Sanji.

Further casting will be announced in the coming days including multiple key roles including new crew members like Tony Tony Chopper and Nico Robin, villains like Crocodile and Smoker, and supporting characters like Princess Vivi, Dr. Kahuena.

The second season will see the crew entering the Grand Line and will adapt the Arabasta saga from the comics. Production is expected to last throughout the second half of this year ahead of airing either late 2025 or early 2026.
