Hot on the heels of the first reactions, and timed with tickets going on sale for the film, a final trailer has been released for George Miller’s “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga”.
The new take sees Anya Taylor-Joy playing a younger version of Charlize Theron’s Furiosa character who was snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus (Chris Hemsworth).
Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by Immortan Joe (Lachy Hulme). While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.
Tom Burke, Nathan Jones, Angus Sampson, Quaden Bayles and Daniel Webber co-star. Several crew members from ‘Fury Road’ also return including screenwriter Lathouris, film editor Margaret Sixel, costume designer Jenny Beavan, and composer Tom Holkenborg.
The project was the biggest film production in Australia’s history. The film had its premiere there last week and is scheduled for a global premiere at Cannes next week.
“Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” is set to hit cinemas on May 24th .
