Two trailer releases today for films that have already begun their international rollouts and will be coming to U.S. screens shortly.
First up, a new trailer has been released by Studiocanal and Focus Features for filmmaker Sam Taylor-Johnson’s “Back To Black” biopic about British singer Amy Winehouse.
“Industry” star Marisa Abela will both act and sing as Winehouse within the film that follows her rise to fame in London in the early 2000s before she passed away in 2011. Jack O’Connell co-stars.
In her time she became one of the most popular recording artists in recent history, selling over 30 million records worldwide.
Whilst reviews for that film have been negative overall, the same can’t be said for “Challengers” which has landed stunning reviews ahead of its release States-side next Friday. A ‘Final Trailer’ has now been released for the movie which can be seen below.
Visionary filmmaker Luca Guadagnino directs the film about a former tennis prodigy turned coach married to a champion on a losing streak (Mike Faist) who plays against his former best friend and her former boyfriend Patrick (Josh O’Connor).
“Back to Black” hits the U.S. on May 17th, “Challengers” arrives on April 26th.
