Warner Bros. Pictures has premiered the trailer for “Remain,” the new supernatural romantic thriller collaboration between “Signs” and “Split” filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan and bestselling author Nicholas Sparks.

Jake Gyllenhaal stars as reclusive New York architect Tate Gordon, who moves to a small coastal town on Cape Cod to complete his latest project.

He encounters an alluring young woman who pulls him out of his shell and into the center of a deadly mystery that hangs over the town. A woman unlike anybody he’s ever met.

Phoebe Dynevor, Ashley Walters, Julie Hagerty and Jay O. Sanders co-star in the film, which Shyamalan directs from his own screenplay and a story he wrote with Sparks.

The pair developed the story together, then went their separate ways, with Sparks writing a book and Shyamalan a script.

Shyamalan, Ashwin Rajan, Marc Bienstock and Theresa Park produce. The film is slated to open in cinemas on February 5th 2027.
