After multiple detours into Legendary’s “Godzilla vs. Kong” verse, filmmaker Adam Wingard returns to the kind of genre filmmaking of his early career (ie. You’re Next,” “The Guest”) with the action thriller “Onslaught”.
Reviews are in for the title, with the film landing a 73% (6.4/10) score onRotten Tomatoes and a 60/100 on Metacritic, decidedly soft numbers.
In the film, a deadly, rogue experiment breaks free from a nearby secret military base – triggering a massive manhunt.
While a team of elite mercenaries races to contain the escaped threats, a former sniper (Adria Arjona) finds herself and her loved ones targeted by hyper-advanced, killing-machine super-soldiers.
To stop the killing machine, she must become one, relying on ruthless, well-honed combat skills to survive the chaos.
