“Ready or Not” star Samara Weaving and “Succession” alum Nicholas Braun will lead the environmental thriller “Hivemind” currently filming in Dublin.
Directed by Irish filmmaker Ciarán Foy (“Citadel,” “Sinister 2”), the story centers on the evolution of a new breed of killer wasps. A small-town authorities who team up to prevent a deadly global outbreak.
Peter Gaffney (“Yeti,” “Don’t Go in the Water”) penned the script and will produce alongside Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, Diarmaid McGrath, Scott Strauss, Macdara Kelleher, Adam Rodin and John Keville.
The project has been set up at Thunder Road, Badlands, Wild Atlantic Pictures and Amazon MGM Studios. The latter plans to stream the film internationally on Prime Video.
Weaving recently appeared in “Ready or Not 2: Here I Come” and “Over Your Dead Body” and was announced to play Emma Frost in the new “X-Men” film at Marvel.
