Four more names have been revealed to have joined the cast of Netflix’s live-action “One Piece” series in its third season, which wrapped filming last month.
The new additions include Omid Abtahi (“The Boys,” “The Mandalorian”) as the kindhearted but staunch monarchist Toto along with Emilio Sakraya (“Rheingold”) as Toto’s son Koza, who becomes the leader of the Arabasta Rebellion.
Also joining are Jamie Ward (“The Gentlemen”) as Pell and Nabeel Khan (“Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom”) as Chaka – both characters are the head guards in the Arabasta Kingdom who served under Igaram.
Subtitled ‘The Battle of Alabasta’, the third season sees Joe Manganiello’s Crocodile/Mr. 0 and the remaining members of Baroque Works serving as the main antagonists.
They include returnee Lera Abova as Nico Robin/Miss All-Sunday, along with newly cast Cole Escola as Bon Kurei/Mr. 2, Awdo Awdo as Daz Bonez/Mr. 1 and Daisy Head as Zala/Miss Doublefinger.
The straw hats crew at the end of the second season all return including Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Emily Rudd as Nami, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, Charithra Chandran as Princess Vivi and Mikaela Hoover as the voice of Tony Tony Chopper.
Sendhil Ramamurthy, who plays Vivi’s father Nefartari Cobra, is also back. The biggest addition of the whole season is “Cobra Kai” star Xolo Maridueña who will make his debut as Portgas D. Ace.
War is coming for Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew in the desert kingdom of Alabasta, Princess Vivi’s homeland. A rebellion threatens to tear the nation apart, fueled in secret by one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, the ruthless Sir Crocodile, and his underground syndicate Baroque Works, who seek to conquer Alabasta for themselves.
In a season defined by unbreakable bonds and impossible choices, the Straw Hats must face a brewing civil war and a powerful warlord to save Vivi’s kingdom before it crumbles into the sand.
The second season premiered on the streamer in March this year to 100% critics & 95% audience review scores on Rotten Tomatoes along with a strong 81/100 on Metacritic. The third season will premiere sometime in 2027.
