By Apple TV+ is sending the Slow Horses into even deeper trouble, with Season 6 promising another dangerous mission for Britain’s most dysfunctional intelligence team. Directed by Adam Randall, the new season finds the agents on the run after Diana Taverner pulls them into what could become a deadly game of retaliation and revenge.
The official logline sets the tone: “Season 6 sees the Slow Horses on the run as Diana Taverner embroils them all in a fatally high-stakes game of retaliation and revenge.” After five seasons of botched operations, political games and unpredictable betrayals, the latest chapter appears ready to push the team into unfamiliar territory.
The returning cast includes Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Samuel West, Ruth Bradley, Jonathan Pryce and Hugo Weaving. BAFTA winner Lenny Rush is also joining the ensemble, adding another new face to the acclaimed spy drama.
Based on Mick Herron’s bestselling novels, Season 6 is adapted for television by co-executive producer Gaby Chiappe and produced by See-Saw Films. The series has become one of Apple TV+’s most respected dramas, balancing dark humor with brutal espionage and complicated characters.
The timing is particularly strong, as Season 5 is competing for nine Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series. With that recognition behind it, Slow Horses has plenty to prove when the sixth season arrives. Expect another tense, unpredictable ride as the Slow Horses discover that staying alive may be their most difficult assignment yet.
