Following the proper trailer at San Diego Comic-Con a few weeks ago, Marvel Studios may already be gearing up the next trailer for “Avengers: Doomsday”.
Scooper MyTimeToShineH and several sources for CBM are reporting that in the wake of last month’s tickets for the Infinity Vision branded screenings of the film going on sale in the U.S., global ticket sales for the new movie look set to commence beginning this Friday August 14th at 9am US-PT.
At the same time, non-Infinity Vision screens in the U.S. will also apparently go on sale. The timing lines up with Disney’s D23 event, which begins this Friday and is expected to include major Marvel announcements.
Meanwhile, Chris Evans was at Fan Expo in Boston this weekend, where he engaged in a Q&A with fans and talked about his return as Steve Rogers in the film. He teased that directors Joe and Anthony Russo get up to their usual tricks with Steve – namely putting him through hell:
“The Russos love beating up Steve Rogers. Their favourite thing to do is to just beat the crap out of him. To them, that’s what makes a hero, and that’s someone who gets punched so many times but still gets up. So they keep finding new ways to kick his butt, but this one was brutal, and a really good examination into his nature and his values.”
It’s rumored that Steve’s decision to travel back in time to have his happy ending with Peggy Carter is what leads to disastrous repercussions for the Multiverse.
Evans also confirmed that the secrecy surrounding the film was so tight that he was codenamed Luke Cage on set:
“Within the script, my character was called Luke Cage just in case things leaked. On the call sheets, I was called Luke Cage. Even on set, they’d say, ‘Luke Cage is travelling.’ It was such a locked-down thing.”
“Avengers: Doomsday” is set to be released in cinemas on December 18th.
