Former “Lethal Weapon” actor Danny Glover has revealed that he has been living with Alzheimer’s disease.
Talking with Lester Holt in a Today show interview, 79-year-old Glover revealed he’d been living with the condition for years now: “I can live with it, in a sense. I’m sure as it advances, things are going to be different and changing.”
Glover revealed he was diagnosed with the neurodegenerative condition right before he received the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the January 2022 Governors Awards.
Glover adds that he’s noticed his movements, speech and memories have slowed, but he remains physically and socially active in his life along with monitoring his health.
In his time, Glover has racked up nearly 200 film and TV acting credits and considers “The Color Purple” his most personal film.
His last screen work was as Santa Claus in “The Naughty Nine” telemovie, while his likeness appeared in last year’s animated anthology film “Predator: Killer of Killers”.
