
Focus Features and Working Title Films have premiered the official trailer and poster for the newest adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic novel “Sense and Sensibility” opening this Fall.
Daisy Edgar-Jones leads the cast as Elinor Dashwood in the period romantic drama, which also includes Esmé Creed-Miles, Caitríona Balfe, Frank Dillane, Herbert Nordrum, Bodhi Rae Breathnach, George MacKay and Fiona Shaw.
Set in the 1790s, the story follows the three Dashwood sisters and their widowed mother as they are forced to leave the family estate in Sussex.
They move to a modest cottage on the property of a distant relative in Devon, where the two eldest girls experience love and heartbreak.
Georgia Oakley directs from a script adaptation by Diana Reid while Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, India Flint and Jo Wallett produce. Arnaud Potier serves as the cinematographer.
“Sense and Sensibility” is scheduled to be released in the United Kingdom on September 25th and the United States on October 16th.
