Let the proper 007 speculation begin.

Amazon MGM Studios has officially started auditioning actors for the role of James Bond, a process that reportedly kicked off a few weeks ago.

British casting director veteran Nina Gold has been enlisted to help in the process. She has worked on countless films, including the “Star Wars” sequel trilogy, several “Jurassic World” films, “The Martian,” “Hot Fuzz,” “Prometheus,” “Hamnet” and more along with shows like “Game of Thrones,” “The Crown” and “Chernobyl”.

Amazon MGM Studios said in an issued statement: “The search for the next James Bond is underway. While we don’t plan to comment on specific details during the casting process, we’re excited to share more news with 007 fans as soon as the time is right.”

Debbie McWilliams was the previous long-time Bond film casting director, helping to find Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan and Timothy Dalton for the role in “Casino Royale,” “Goldeneye” and “The Living Daylights” respectively.

Denis Villeneuve helms the film while Amy Pascal and David Heyman produce from a script by Steven Knight. The likes of Jacob Elordi, Callum Turner and Aaron Taylor-Johnson have been rumoured for many months now for the part.
