Following Wednesday’s news that at least one, and possibly up to four, “Fast & Furious” TV series were in the works for the Peacock streaming service. Now, further clarification has emerged.

At NBCUniversal’s upfront presentation on Wednesday, Vin Diesel revealed that Peacock was developing four different TV shows set in the “Fast and Furious” universe.

Subsequently, it was confirmed that only one of those is actually moving forward at present – one which is being spearheaded by Mike Daniels and Wolfe Coleman for Universal Television.

The other three remain in development, and now Deadline has revealed that Nick Wootton and Charmaine DeGraté, Ingrid Escajeda and Joe Henderson are the ones handling the other three projects.

The trade indicates the writers have been working on different scripts that are in the works at Peacock, and all come from Universal Television.

There are no plans for a ‘bake-off’. Rather, the streamer will evaluate each series before making a decision about whether to proceed with any of them – much the same way HBO is doing with its assorted “Game of Thrones” shows.

There are no details about the story or characters involved in any of the four series, but clearly, all exist in the world of the action franchise.

Meanwhile, the final film, “Fast Forever,” will debut on March 17th 2028.
