“The Marvels” and “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple” director has been set to direct the two episodes of Amazon Prime Video’s TV series adaptation of the acclaimed Image Comics title “Sex Criminals”.
The story follows Suze (Imogen Poots) who is a normal girl with an extraordinary ability: when she has sex, she stops time.
One night, she meets Jon (John Reynolds), who has the same gift. And so they do what any other sex having, time stopping couple would do: they rob banks.”
Kumail Nanjiani, Emily V. Gordon and Tze Chun created the show which was ordered to series in January, and all three will executive produce. Nanjiani will also have a role on screen.
It marks the second comic-to-TV adaptation DaCosta has signed on for recently, the other being as executive producer and writer on the Hulu pilot “Southern Bastards”.
Matt Fraction, Chip Zdarsky, Dani Gorin, Dani Melia and DaCosta also executive produce the eight-episode series.
