The upcoming live-action “Masters of the Universe” film looks fairly epic, and now it appears the film has a runtime to match.
Multiple movie exhibitors have updated their websites and have included a fairly long runtime for the movie, but it’s not clear which is accurate.
Regal is listing 140 minutes, AMC is at 132 minutes, and Hoyts Australia has 135 minutes. Whatever the case, that’s a very solid number and considerably more than the 106 minutes of the 1987 film.
It’s also more than the 116 minutes of this weekend’s “Mortal Kombat II,” or the just confirmed 110 minutes of the upcoming “Supergirl” movie.
The talk comes as a new featurette has been released and can be seen below, along with new shots of several supporting characters. Travis Knight directs the new film which will feature Nicholas Galitzine in the role of Adam/He-Man, while Jared Leto will play Skeletor.
The film also stars Idris Elba as Man at Arms, Camila Mendes as Teela, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Kristen Wiig as Roboto, Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena, Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man, James Purefoy as King Randor, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Fisto, Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops, Jon Xue Zhang as Ram-Man, Sasheer Zamata as Suzie and Christian Vunipola as Hussein.
“Masters of the Universe” will hit cinemas on June 5th 2026.
