The “Yellowstone” sequel series “Dutton Ranch,” which doesn’t premiere for another three weeks, has undergone a behind-the-scenes shake-up.

Puck News reports that Chad Feehan, who served as showrunner for the show’s first season, will not be returning if the show gets renewed for a second run.

The outlet indicates the production studios behind the series were unhappy with Feehan’s handling of the show. However, no official issues have been reported as of yet.

A second season hasn’t been greenlit as yet, but is likely if creator Taylor Sheridan’s track record is anything to go by.

Set after “Yellowstone,” the story follows Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) as they fight to build a future together in South Texas, and collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire.

The show will debut on the Paramount Network and Paramount+ on May 15th with two episodes, then air weekly throughout the nine-episode first season.
