In August last year, Fathom Entertainment’s 35th anniversary re-release of 1990’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” movie played on around 1,300 screens and snagged a commendable $3.7 million in its run.

That made it the top-performing classic film of the year for Fathom. They, Saga Arts and Warner Bros. Pictures were obviously happy with the result as a 35th anniversary re-release of 1991’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze” was ordered for March 2026.

Now, a trailer has been released for the re-release which promises the film returning and in 4K this time for a one-week stint in cinemas nationwide from March 13th-19th 2026.

In the film, the evil Shredder has learned the secret of the ooze, the force behind the Turtles’ mutation and amazing fighting abilities. Now more dangerous than ever, Shredder is determined to destroy the Turtles, bringing along new villains Tokka and Rahzar for a battle to the end

‘Ooze’ opened to $20 million back in 1991, ending its domestic run with $78.6 million. The film received mixed reviews from critics, who appreciated the original’s darker tone.
