Filmmaker Guy Ritchie, already with two works out this year with Netflix series “The Gentlemen” and WWII action thriller “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare,” has announced another project on the way – “Wife and Dog”.
Plot specifics are under wraps, but it set against the British aristocracy. Filming will begin in October with a major cast reportedly in negotiations to star.
Ritchie wrote the screenplay and produces alongside Ivan Atkinson and John Friedberg.
It continues Ritchie’s busy filmmaking run of late. In the past three years ‘Ministry’, “Wrath of Man,” “Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre” and “The Covenant” all oppened.
He recently shot “In the Grey” starring Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal with post-production currently underway on that. He’s currently in production on “Fountain of Youth” starring John Krasinski and Natalie Portman.
Black Bear will sell “Wife and Dog” in Cannes along with a bunch of other movies including the Sydney Sweeney-led Christy Martin boxing film from filmmaker David Michod, Gregg Araki’s thriller “I Want Your Sex” with Olivia Wilde, Cary Fukunaga’s “77 Blackout” starring Mahershala Ali and Tom Hardy, and action thriller “Motor City” starring Alan Ritchson, Shailene Woodley and Pablo Schreiber.
