By A new set photo from “Daredevil: Born Again” has emerged and confirmed a casting reversal decision has been made in regards to the show.
A photo taken by Steve Sands of New York Newswire has confirmed that Ayelet Zurer will reprise her role of Vanessa Fisk from the prior “Daredevil” Netflix series.
The photo captures her and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk talking outside a building, both dressed rather impeccably too.
When the “Daredevil: Born Again” revival was announced, one surprise was the recasting of Vanessa with “Better Call Saul” and “Mr. Robot” actress Sandrine Holt taking over the role.
Zurer shared an article about her recasting shortly after the news broke, adding the caption: “Sad to not take part. But I will always be Vincent D’Onofrio’s biggest fan.”
Then the series was paused by the strikes and underwent a massive creative overhaul and would now see numerous characters from the prior Netflix series returning.
Whether it was a scheduling issue or not isn’t clear, either way it seems Holt is out and Zurer is back in as Kingpin’s beloved wife.
She joins fellow returnees Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle/The Punisher) and Wilson Bethel (Bullseye).
