By “Stargirl” star Brec Bassinger, “Chucky” actor Teo Briones, and “The Flash” guest star Kaitlyn Santa Juana are set to lead “Final Destination: Bloodlines”.
“Freaks” filmmakers Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein are directing the project that marks the sixth entry in the horror-thriller franchise which celebrates its 25th anniversary next year.
Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor penned the script for the film which Craig Perry, Jon Watts, Sheila Hanahan Taylor, and Dianne McGunigle are producing.
Filming began in Vancouver earlier this month. The project was announced in 2019 but put on hold due to the pandemic.
Specifics of the new entry are under wraps, creator Jeffrey Reddick previously teasing it will shake-up the formula a bit whilst remaining a “true Final Destination” film.
The plan is for a worldwide theatrical release in 2025 with an IMAX component likely.
