By The first trailer has been released for “Kinds of Kindness,” a film that marks the third teaming of Oscar-winning collaborators actress Emma Stone and director Yorgos Lanthimos.
Previously working together on “The Favourite” and “Poor Things,” Searchlight Pictures is set to release their new film in cinemas on June 21st.
Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Hong Chau, Joe Alwyn, Mamoudou Athie, and Hunter Schafer co-star in the triptych anthology feature which was written by Lanthimos and Efthimis Filippou.
The story follows a man without choice who tries to take control of his own life; a policeman who is alarmed that his wife who was missing-at-sea has returned and seems a different person; and a woman determined to find a specific someone with a special ability, who is destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader.
Lanthimos has previously called the project a “contemporary film, set in the US – three different stories, with four or five actors who play one part in each story.”
Stone and Lanthimos will reunite again shortly for the remake of 2003’s “Save the Green Planet”.
