Filming on the first-ever original “Star Trek” movie made for the Paramount+ streaming service, “Star Trek: Section 31,” has wrapped.

Actor Robert Kazinsky broke the news on his Instagram, dubbing the shoot one of the greatest experiences of his life along with thanking director Olatunde Osunsanmi, star Michelle Yeoh, and the rest of the cast.

In the process he reveals three new cast members – Joe Pingue (“The Expanse”), Miku Martineau (“Kate”), and Augusto Bitter (“EZRA”). Filming on the project kicked off in January.

The project was originally planned as a TV series but shifted to become a one-off film. After Yeoh’s Oscar win there were doubts she would return to her Emperor Philippa Georgiou character, but the actress was highly enthused by the project.

The film deals with the most secretive branch of Starfleet, the shadowy covert ops and counterintelligence division which is the Federation’s equivalent of the Romulan’s Tal Shiar and the Cardassian’s Obsidian Order.

Omari Hardwick, Kacey Rohl, Sam Richardson, Sven Ruygrok, Humberly Gonzalez and James Hiroyuki Liao co-star.

The news comes ahead of the fifth and final season of “Star Trek: Discovery” which premieres on April 4th.
