Lucasfilm has announced today that in celebration of the 25th anniversary of “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace,” fans will have the chance to experience the entire Skywalker Saga in theaters on May the 4th (aka Star Wars Day).

All nine episodic films will screen in chronological order starting with the prequel trilogy – “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace,” “Star Wars: Attack of the Clones,” “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith”.

That will be followed by the original trilogy “Star Wars: A New Hope,” “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back,” “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi,” and then the sequel trilogy “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” and “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”.

The screenings will also boast an exclusive look at the upcoming Disney+ series “The Acolyte” which is set during the High Republic era and which launched its trailer earlier this week to record numbers for a Disney+ series. That preview will be part of The Phantom Menace screenings.

The screenings will not include the “Rogue One” or “Solo” films, nor any of the subsequent Disney+ series like “Andor,” “The Mandalorian,” “Obi-Wan Kenobi” and “The Book of Boba Fett”.

Those attending will receive a special limited edition poster. Tickets go on sale Friday at 9am US-PT.
