Early specs for the PS5 Pro console appear to have leaked.

Whilst there have been various rumored specs over the months about what to expect in the half-generation refresh, a report this week seems to have more weight than most.

YouTube channel Moore’s Law Is Dead first shared leaked details, including alleged documentation claiming to show off performance and features.

Then, outlet Insider Gaming backed up those reports and added that further details were shared with more third-party developers this week via a PlayStation developer portal.

It’s indicated first-party PlayStation developers have supposedly had PS5 Pro dev kits since September last year and third-party developers have had them since January,

If true, the PS5 Pro will reportedly render 45% faster than the base PS5, supports 2-3x raytracing, a proprietary upscaler called PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR), custom machine learning architecture, and an AI accelerator.

The new console will boast 33.5 teraflops of performance which is about on par with an Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti (34.1) and AMD RX 7700 (32), and just over three times that of the base PS5 (10.3).

PlayStation has yet to confirm anything about a PS5 Pro, but these reports suggest a Holiday 2024 release.
