Nvidia’s Reflex tech apparently reduces latency on compatible GeForce graphics cards and laptops. I don’t know what any of that actually means, but reports online say it will mean big things for games on PCs. This new tech is to be applied to the ray tracing in Star Wars: Outlaws, along with DLSS 3 upscaling and latency reduction. Still no idea…
Somebody explain this to me in terms that I, a man who looks back fondly on the days of the wooden Atari, can understand?
With all this technobabble being announced, a brief trailer was also released that showcases gameplay footage from Star Wars: Outlaws when played on a machine with the current top hardware specs, ignoring current mortgage rates.
Star Wars: Outlaws is set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. You will take on the role of Kay Vess as you take on high-risk, high-reward missions from the galaxy’s crime syndicates. Steal valuable goods, infiltrate secret locations, and outwit enemies as one of the galaxy’s most wanted fugitives, as every choice you make influences your ever-changing reputation.
Star Wars: Outlaws was developed by Massive Entertainment and launches for PC, PS5, and Series X/S later this year.
