The Departed
Martin Scorsese’s hit 2006 crime thriller “The Departed” is coming to 4K UHD and Blu-ray on April 23rd. The film’s 4K version will also be available to be purchased digitally that day as well. The release will also include deleted scenes and several featurettes. [Source: Blu-ray.com]

Young Sheldon
CBS has officially greenlighted a new half-hour, multi-camera comedy series spin-off of “Young Sheldon” for broadcast next season. Montana Jordan and Emily Osment return as Georgie and Mandy.

In the series, the pair raise their young family in Texas while navigating the challenges of adulthood, parenting and marriage. [Source: Deadline]

Freaky Friday 2
The long teased “Freaky Friday” sequel may finally be on the way. Actress Lindsay Lohan tells Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM Show that a sequel is in the works, but the timeline isn’t sorted out yet:

“It is [in the works]. I won’t say that yet . . . I don’t want to say too much. We’re both excited! I’m gonna speak for Jamie.”

Both Lohan and her 2003 film co-star Jamie Lee Curtis spoke openly about wanting to reunite for a sequel last year. [Source: CS]

MaXXXine
A24 has revealed a July 5th theatrical release date for “MaXXXine,” the third in Ti West’s horror trilogy starring Mia Goth that began with “X” and scored a prequel in “Pearl”.

Picking up after “X,” this unfolds in Los Angeles in 1985 with Maxine striving to become a star in the acting world. Halsey, Kevin Bacon, Michelle Monaghan, and Lilly Collins co-star. [Source: A24]
