Magnolia Pictures & Magnet Releasing have released a teaser trailer for Josh Margolin’s action-comedy “Thelma” starring June Squibb in a leading role and Richard Roundtree in his final performance. “Thelma” opens in cinemas on June 21st.
The story follows 93-year-old Thelma (Squibb) who gets duped by a phone scammer pretending to be her grandson, then setting out on a treacherous quest across the city to reclaim what was taken from her.
Fred Hechinger, Parker Posey, Clark Gregg and Malcolm McDowell co-star in the film which is based on a true story. Squibb reportedly did most of her own stunts in the film which premiered at Sundance to rave reviews.
Next, a teaser trailer has been released for the new French film adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’ “The Count of Monte Cristo” starring Pierre Niney, Bastien Bouillon, Anaïs Demoustier, Anamaria Vartolomei.

Sticking with France, Shudder has released a U.S. trailer for Sebastien Vanicek’s spider horror film “Infested” in which an infestation of deadly spiders in a council estate. That film releases on the streamer on April 26th.
